DC Universe Online

DC Universe Online is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in the DC Comics universe. Developed by Dimensional Ink Games, a division of Daybreak Game Company, and released in January 2011 for Windows and PlayStation 3, the game later became available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and in 2024, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Players create unique characters by selecting a faction (hero or villain), gender, body type, personality, movement mode (flight, acrobatics, super speed, or skimming), weapon, and superpowers. After customizing their character's appearance and color scheme, players immerse themselves in the DC world, interacting with iconic heroes and villains, completing missions, and battling various adversaries. The game received positive reviews for its dynamic combat system and rich world based on DC comics. By 2014, the number of registered users exceeded 18 million, and by 2020, the active monthly audience was about 419,000 players.
