Inspector Rex

An Austrian-Italian crime television series that first aired in 1994, it follows the adventures of a German Shepherd named Rex, working in the homicide division of the Vienna Kriminalpolizei. After the death of his previous handler, Rex teams up with Inspector Richard Moser (Tobias Moretti), who is recently divorced. Together, they solve complex crimes, utilizing Rex's unique abilities, including his keen sense of smell and intelligence, making him an invaluable team member. The series combines elements of drama, thriller, and detective genres, exploring not only criminal cases but also the personal lives of the characters. Following Moretti's departure from the series, Rex continues to work with new partners, including Alexander Brandtner (Gedeon Burkhard) and Marc Hoffmann (Alexander Pschill).
