Need for Speed World

A multiplayer online racing game from the Need for Speed series, developed by EA Black Box and released as a free-to-play title. Unlike traditional entries in the franchise, Need for Speed: World features an open world that merges locations from Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) and Need for Speed: Carbon, allowing players to participate in races, freely explore the city, and compete against others. The game includes a variety of licensed cars that can be upgraded and customized. Gameplay focuses on arcade-style street racing with power-ups that grant temporary advantages during races. It supported both PvE races against AI and PvP competitions with real players. In 2015, the game’s servers were shut down, but dedicated fans later created unofficial servers, reviving the experience of this racing MMO.
