Pale Rider

The 1985 American Western film, directed and starred by Clint Eastwood, centers on the struggle of independent gold prospectors against the greedy industrialist Coy LaHood (Richard Dysart), who aims to seize their land in California. After LaHood's men attack the miners' camp, resulting in the death of teenager Megan Wheeler's (Sydney Penny) dog, she prays for a miracle.
