Path of Exile

An action RPG with online multiplayer elements, developed by New Zealand studio Grinding Gear Games and released in 2013. The game is set in the dark fantasy world of Wraeclast — a cursed land where criminals and exiles are sent. The player controls an exile struggling to survive by exploring dangerous areas, fighting monsters, and completing quests. The game features a flexible character development system with an extensive passive skill tree, skill gems for abilities, and the ability to modify equipment through currency items. Path of Exile has no standard in-game currency — its economy is based on barter. The game is known for its high difficulty, hardcore approach to gameplay, dark atmosphere, and deep mechanical complexity.
