Sid Meier's Pirates!

A tactical adventure video game with elements of strategy, role-playing, and naval simulation. The player takes on the role of a pirate in the 17th-century Caribbean, commanding a ship, battling other vessels, landing on islands to search for treasure, and engaging in duels. The game features four European powers—Spain, England, France, and the Netherlands—with which players can interact, gaining reputation or becoming a wanted outlaw. Gameplay includes naval battles, boarding ships, economic activities, completing missions, and searching for the protagonist’s lost family. Players can marry, engage in political intrigue, and climb the ranks of society. It is a remake of the original 1987 game with enhanced graphics and new mechanics.
