Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne

An expansion to the real-time strategy game Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, released by Blizzard Entertainment in 2003. It continues the epic Warcraft storyline, following the fates of Arthas Menethil, Illidan Stormrage, the Night Elves, and other key characters. The Frozen Throne introduces new units, heroes, and buildings for all races, as well as a revamped economy with mercenary camps and neutral shops. The campaign is divided into several arcs: the conflict between the Naga and the Night Elves, the war between the Alliance and the Orcs in Outland, and Arthas’s final ascent to the Frozen Throne. The expansion also enhances the multiplayer experience with balance adjustments and new maps. The Frozen Throne solidified Warcraft III as one of the most influential RTS games, playing a crucial role in the rise of custom maps, including DotA.
