Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot

A Swedish-French video game developed by MachineGames in collaboration with Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks in 2019, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot is a VR first-person shooter set in the Wolfenstein universe. The story takes place in 1980 in Nazi-occupied Paris, running parallel to the events of Wolfenstein: Youngblood. The player assumes the role of a hacker working for the French Resistance, hijacking Nazi war machines—such as mechs, drones, and flamethrower tanks—to turn them against their oppressors. The gameplay is centered around piloting various combat vehicles in first-person VR, enhancing immersion through virtual reality mechanics. Built on the id Tech 6 engine, the game features detailed environments and visually striking effects. Despite its intriguing premise, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot received mixed reviews due to its short length, limited player freedom, and simplistic mechanics, making it feel more like a tech demo than a full-fledged entry in the series.
