Barbarian

A 2022 American horror-thriller directed by Zach Cregger. The story follows a young woman, Tess (Georgina Campbell), who travels to Detroit for a job interview and books a rental home. Upon arrival, she discovers that the house is already occupied by a man named Keith (Bill Skarsgård), who claims to have also booked it. Despite her reservations, she decides to stay the night but soon realizes that there is something far more sinister lurking within the house than just an unexpected roommate. As she tries to escape, she unearths horrifying secrets about the property and its monstrous inhabitants. The narrative also follows AJ (Justin Long), a Hollywood actor and the owner of the house, who arrives later only to confront the nightmare hidden beneath his own property. Combining classic horror elements with unexpected twists and social commentary, the film explores themes of trust, gender-based fears, and the nature of evil.
