Bloodshot, also known as Battle Frenzy in Germany, is a first-person shooter developed by Domark and released in 1994 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Sega Mega-CD platforms. The game offers both single-player and cooperative modes, allowing two players to play on the same screen in split-screen mode. The storyline is set in 2049: an alien cruiser destroys Earth's lunar base, and the player assumes the role of a cybernetically enhanced soldier tasked with infiltrating the enemy ship and destroying it from within. Gameplay involves exploring maze-like levels, collecting weapons and bonuses, and battling various enemies. A unique feature is the requirement to return to the starting point within a limited time after defeating each boss, adding dynamism and tension to the gaming experience.
