Bruno the Kid

An American animated television series created by Bruce Willis and produced by Film Roman. Premiering on September 23, 1996, the series ran until May 26, 1997, encompassing 36 half-hour episodes. The plot centers around an 11-year-old boy named Bruno who becomes a top spy for the secret organization GLOBE. GLOBE contacts Bruno through his computer and special gadgets, unaware of his young age, as he uses an avatar of an adult man modeled after Bruce Willis. Jarlsburg (Tony Jay) and Harris (Mark Hamill), the people closest to Bruno, share the same blind spot: they think GLOBE knows exactly how old he is and puts the boy in danger on purpose. The series combines elements of comedy, adventure, and spy genres, following Bruno as he balances his double life, keeping it hidden from his parents and friends. In one episode, for instance, he claims to be camping in the backyard while actually embarking on a secret mission. "Bruno the Kid" was acclaimed for its humor and unique take on the spy genre, becoming popular among viewers in the late 1990s.
