Cheburashka

A 2022 Russian family comedy film directed by Dmitry Dyachenko. The story follows a small, furry creature with big ears that appears in a distant southern country on an orange plantation, where it is caught by farmers Miguel and Juan. However, a sudden whirlwind carries it to a small seaside town, where it ends up in the home of the grumpy gardener Gena (Sergey Garmash). Gena, who works in an arboretum and avoids social interactions, gradually becomes attached to the creature. In the town also lives Gena's estranged daughter Tanya (Olga Kuzmina), her husband Tolik (Sergey Lavygin), and their five-year-old son Grisha. The authoritative owner of a chocolate factory, Rimma (Elena Yakovleva), seeks to obtain the creature for her capricious granddaughter Sonya, leading to conflicts and adventures. The film explores themes of family, forgiveness, and friendship, showing how the appearance of an unusual being changes people's lives and helps restore lost connections.
