Dr. Dolittle 2​

A 2001 American family comedy directed by Steve Carr, serving as a sequel to the 1998 film, follows Dr. John Dolittle (Eddie Murphy), a world-renowned veterinarian who can communicate with animals. Returning home from France, he learns from a raccoon named Joey and an opossum that the forest inhabited by animals is threatened by logging. To save it, John decides to repopulate the area with a protected species — Pacific western bears. He finds the only female, Ava (voiced by Lisa Kudrow), and brings in Archie (voiced by Steve Zahn), a circus bear, to mate with her. Archie, accustomed to circus life, struggles to adapt to the wild but, with help from John and other animals, learns to be a real bear. Meanwhile, logging magnate Joseph Potter (Jeffrey Jones) and his lawyer Jack Riley (Kevin Pollak) attempt to thwart Dolittle's plans. When Archie is captured and faces being sent to a Mexican circus, John rallies the animals to rescue their friend and protect the forest. In the climax, animals worldwide go on strike, demanding environmental preservation. The film concludes with Archie and Ava becoming a couple with cubs, and John's daughter Charisse (Raven-Symoné) discovering her ability to talk to animals, continuing her father's legacy.​
