Dr. Dolittle 3​

A 2006 American family comedy directed by Rich Thorne, this third installment in the Dr. Dolittle series is the first to be released directly to video. The story centers on Maya Dolittle (Kyla Pratt), the youngest daughter of Dr. John Dolittle, who has inherited her father's ability to communicate with animals. Struggling with isolation at school and misunderstanding from her peers, Maya feels out of place. Her mother, Lisa Dolittle (Kristen Wilson), decides to send her to the "Durango" ranch for the summer to help her find herself and learn to embrace her gift. At the ranch, Maya meets the owner, Jud (John Amos), his son Bo (Walker Howard), and various animals, including the dog Lucky (voiced by Norm Macdonald). When a neighboring ranch threatens to overtake "Durango," Maya chooses to use her ability to help animals and humans unite to save their home. Through this journey, she overcomes her fears, makes new friends, and accepts her uniqueness, realizing that her gift is not a curse but a blessing.​
