Christmas in Connecticut

This 1992 American made-for-television romantic comedy is a remake of the 1945 classic, reimagined with a satirical twist. The story centers around Rachel Armstrong (Dyan Cannon), a popular television cooking show host who is known for her perfect homemaker persona and idyllic family life, which, in reality, is entirely fabricated by her media team. As her network plans a special live Christmas broadcast from her supposed home in Connecticut, chaos ensues when they invite Jeff (Kris Kristofferson), a heroic forest ranger who recently rescued a family, to spend the holidays with her. With no real cooking skills, no family, and a fictional lifestyle to maintain, Rachel scrambles to stage the illusion of the perfect Christmas, faking her way through recipes, traditions, and relationships. As romantic feelings develop between Rachel and Jeff, the charade becomes harder to uphold, threatening her career and forcing her to confront what truly matters.
