Collateral Damage

A 2002 American action film directed by Andrew Davis, it follows Los Angeles firefighter Gordon Brewer (Arnold Schwarzenegger), whose wife and son are killed in a terrorist bombing orchestrated by Colombian guerrilla Claudio "El Lobo" Perrini (Cliff Curtis). Frustrated by governmental inaction, Brewer travels to Colombia to seek vengeance. There, he navigates a network of drug traffickers and terrorists, including Claudio's wife Selena (Francesca Neri) and her adopted son Mauro (Tyler Posey). Brewer discovers that Selena is the true mastermind behind the attacks, planning a major bombing in Washington, D.C. With the assistance of CIA agent Peter Brandt (Elias Koteas), Brewer thwarts the attack on the State Department, saves Mauro, and is awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his heroism.
