A first- and third-person shooter set in the Command & Conquer universe, offering a unique perspective on the war between the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod. Players take on the role of Captain Nick "Havoc" Parker, an elite GDI commando tasked with taking down Nod forces, rescuing scientists, and sabotaging enemy operations. Unlike the series’ traditional strategy games, Renegade focuses on fast-paced firefights, diverse weapon and vehicle combat, and exploration of detailed environments, including iconic Nod and GDI structures such as Kane's Obelisk and the Mobile Construction Yard. In addition to a story-driven single-player campaign, the game features a multiplayer mode where players engage in team-based battles, construct bases, and control combat vehicles in a style reminiscent of classic RTS mechanics. While receiving mixed reviews due to its dated graphics at launch, Renegade was praised for its immersive atmosphere, engaging action, and the opportunity to experience the Command & Conquer world from a new perspective.
