Dirty Angels

An American action thriller film released in 2024, directed by Martin Campbell, with a script co-written by Alissa Sullivan Haggis and Jonas McCord. The plot centers around events during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. A group of terrorists storms a girls' school, taking students hostage, including Badia, the daughter of Afghanistan's Minister of Education, and the U.S. Ambassador's daughter. After a failed rescue attempt by Delta Force, the military enlists Jake (Eva Green), a female soldier, to lead a new rescue mission. She assembles a team of skilled women: Rocky (mechanic), Geek (technician), Shooter (weapon specialist), The Bomb (explosives expert), Medic, and Dr. Mike. They pose as medical personnel to infiltrate the region. The Afghan Minister of Education assists them in crossing the border, planning to pay the ransom for her daughter. The team conducts various operations, including raiding a weapons cache, but faces losses such as the deaths of Dr. Mike and Travis. They discover that one of their local contacts, Awina, has been informing the terrorists about their movements. The team manages to free Sheikh Al-Shimali from a prison convoy but loses Rocky in the process. An attempt to use the sheikh and counterfeit money for negotiations fails, leading to a final assault on the terrorists' cave base. In the climax, Jake kills the terrorist leader while The Bomb leads the captured girls to safety. Despite successfully rescuing the hostages and evacuating them by helicopter, several team members are lost. The film concludes with Jake and Malik deciding to return to save Rocky, who stayed behind to cover their retreat.
