The Beekeeper

A 2024 American action film directed by David Ayer and written by Kurt Wimmer. The story follows Adam Clay (Jason Statham), a quiet beekeeper living in the suburbs, renting a barn from his kind-hearted neighbor, Mrs. Parker (Phylicia Rashad). When Mrs. Parker falls victim to online scammers and commits suicide, Adam seeks vengeance for her death. It is revealed that he is a former operative of a secret mercenary organization called "The Beekeepers." In his quest for justice, Adam confronts Derek Danforth (Josh Hutcherson), the head of the cybercriminals, and his mother, Jessica Danforth (Gemma Redgrave), the President of the United States. Opposing him are FBI agent Verona Parker (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Mrs. Parker's daughter, and former CIA director Wallace Westwild (Jeremy Irons).
