From the Earth to the Moon

The 1998 American drama television series, created by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Michael Bostick, is a twelve-part docudrama chronicling NASA's Apollo program. Based on Andrew Chaikin's book "A Man on the Moon," the series spans from the early 1960s to the early 1970s, detailing each Apollo mission's preparation, technical challenges, and the personal stories of astronauts, engineers, and their families. Tom Hanks, the executive producer, appears in the first eleven episodes as the host and portrays Georges Méliès' assistant in the final episode, linking the history of spaceflight with the origins of cinema. The cast includes David Clennon, Lane Smith, Stephen Root, among others, portraying real-life participants of the Apollo program.
