A racing simulator developed by Polyphony Digital and released exclusively for PlayStation 2. Gran Turismo 4 became one of the most ambitious entries in the series, featuring over 700 cars from various manufacturers and more than 50 tracks, including real-world circuits and fictional courses. The driving physics were significantly improved, and attention to detail reached a new level with highly accurate car modeling and performance characteristics. The game introduced an extensive career mode, including license tests, championships, special events, and the B-Spec mode, which allowed players to act as race managers. In addition to traditional racing, the game featured historic races and endurance challenges. Although an online multiplayer mode was planned, it was ultimately not included in the final version. Gran Turismo 4 received high praise for its graphics, realism, and deep gameplay, becoming one of the best-selling and most iconic racing games on PlayStation 2.
