The sequel to the iconic racing simulator developed by Polyphony Digital and released exclusively for PlayStation. Gran Turismo 2 significantly expanded its content compared to its predecessor, featuring over 600 cars from 33 manufacturers and more than 25 tracks, including real-world circuits and city courses. The game was divided into two modes: "Arcade," allowing instant race participation, and "Gran Turismo" (Simulation Mode), featuring a career with car purchases, license tests, and various championships. The driving physics were made more realistic, and the car roster included both road and rally vehicles. Despite some technical issues in early versions, Gran Turismo 2 received critical acclaim for its depth, variety of content, and high level of realism. The game became one of the best-selling PlayStation titles, further solidifying the series' status as a premier racing simulator.
