A fantasy melodrama created by South Korean screenwriter Kim Eun Sook and director Lee Eung Bok. The story follows Kim Shin (Gong Yoo), an immortal warrior turned dokkaebi (goblin or guardian spirit), who has lived for over 900 years. Tired of his eternal life, he seeks the dokkaebi's bride—the only person capable of ending his immortality by removing the sword piercing his chest. One day, he meets high school student Ji Eun Tak (Kim Go Eun), who claims to be the destined bride. Parallelly, the narrative explores the life of a grim reaper (Lee Dong Wook) suffering from amnesia and a restaurant owner named Sunny (Yoo In Na). The series delves into themes of love, destiny, and redemption, intertwining elements of Korean folklore with contemporary life.
