How to Train Your Dragon

A 2010 animated adventure film directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders, based on the book of the same name by Cressida Cowell. Set in the world of Vikings, the story takes place on the island of Berk, which is constantly raided by dragons. The protagonist, a young Viking named Hiccup (voiced by Jay Baruchel / Alexander Khorlin), is the son of the tribe’s chief, Stoick (voiced by Gerard Butler / Andrey Yaroslavtsev). Unlike other warriors, Hiccup is physically weak but eager to prove himself. One day, he injures the legendary dragon Night Fury, later named Toothless, but instead of killing him, he decides to help. Over time, their bond grows, challenging the long-held beliefs of the Viking clan and changing their world forever. The film was critically acclaimed and became one of DreamWorks’ most successful animated projects, earning an Academy Award nomination.
