Ikiru

A 1952 Japanese drama directed by Akira Kurosawa. The story centers on Kanji Watanabe, an elderly bureaucrat who learns that he is terminally ill with cancer. Realizing that his life has been empty and without purpose, he decides to find a way to leave behind something meaningful. Watanabe abandons his monotonous job and dedicates his final months to fighting for the creation of a children's playground in a poor neighborhood, seeking to find meaning in his remaining days.
