Incendies

A 2010 Canadian drama film directed by Denis Villeneuve, based on the play of the same name by Wajdi Mouawad. The story follows twins Jeanne and Simon, who, after their mother's death, receive two letters — one for their father, whom they believed to be dead, and one for a brother they never knew existed. In search of answers, they travel to the Middle East to uncover family secrets and learn about their mother's past, which turns out to be far more tragic than they could have imagined.
