Inside Out

A 2015 American animated film in the genre of comedy-drama, produced by Pixar Animation Studios and Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by Pete Docter. The plot follows 11-year-old girl Riley Anderson (Kaitlyn Dias), whose life changes after moving with her parents (Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan) from Minnesota to San Francisco. Inside her mind reside five core emotions: Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), and Disgust (Mindy Kaling), who help her navigate life's situations. After the move, Joy and Sadness accidentally get ejected from the central control center of the mind, leaving Fear, Anger, and Disgust to manage Riley's emotions. Journeying through various regions of the mind, such as Long-Term Memory, Imagination Land, and Abstract Thought, Joy and Sadness strive to return to the control center to restore Riley's emotional balance. The film explores the complexity of human emotions and the importance of all feelings in shaping one's personality.
