Jean-Claude Van Johnson

An American action comedy-drama television series from 2016, created in the USA under the direction of Peter Atencio. The plot follows former martial arts and action movie star Jean-Claude Van Damme (Jean-Claude Van Damme), who is actually a secret agent codenamed Jean-Claude Van Johnson. After five years in retirement, he encounters his former partner and love interest Vanessa (Kat Foster), reigniting his desire to return to espionage and rekindle their relationship. During their mission, they uncover a threat posed by terrorists possessing a weather control machine. The series also features characters such as Jane (Phylicia Rashad), Jean-Claude's manager and superior in the intelligence organization; Luis (Moisés Arias), a new weapons specialist and former child soldier aspiring to be a hairstylist; Gunnar (Tim Peper), the self-absorbed director of the film "Huck" in which Jean-Claude stars; and Filip (also played by Jean-Claude Van Damme), a fan who shares the protagonist's appearance and eventually grows to hate him. The show is filled with humor related to the main character's ego and references to his past films.
