Liquidation

A crime drama set in post-war Odessa in 1946. The city is plagued by crime, with a dangerous gang committing armed robberies and murders. To combat the escalating violence, a special task force is created under the leadership of David Markovich Gotsman (Vladimir Mashkov), the head of the criminal investigation department. He is assisted by Colonel Vitaly Krechetov (Mikhail Porechenkov) and Captain Viktor Plakhov (Sergey Makovetsky). Gotsman is determined to uncover the identity of the gang's elusive leader, known as "The Academic," who operates with cunning precision. Throughout the investigation, he faces betrayal, corruption, and personal losses but refuses to back down. The series masterfully combines suspense, Odessa's unique atmosphere, humor, and complex moral dilemmas, depicting a society struggling to restore order after the war.
