Masks Show

A Soviet and Ukrainian comedy TV series created in 1991 in the style of silent cinema, featuring elements of clownery, grotesque, and pantomime. The series is based on performances by the "Masks" theater, known for its humorous and parody acts. In each episode, the characters, played by Georgiy Deliyev, Boris Barsky, and other members of the troupe, find themselves in absurd and comedic situations that satirize everyday, social, and political themes. The series is almost entirely devoid of dialogue, emphasizing visual humor, expressive facial expressions, gestures, and physicality. The characters are often portrayed as caricatured figures such as policemen, doctors, and workers from various professions, creating ridiculous and funny personas. Each episode is self-contained, making the show accessible from any point.
