A first-person shooter developed by EA Los Angeles and published by Electronic Arts in 2002 for PlayStation 2, later ported to GameCube and Xbox. Medal of Honor: Frontline is the fourth installment in the series and one of its most cinematic entries, offering players an intense and dramatic portrayal of World War II. Players assume the role of Lieutenant James Patterson, an operative of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), participating in key Allied operations across Europe, starting with the D-Day landings in Normandy and leading deep into enemy territory. The campaign includes street battles in occupied Holland, sabotage missions at German facilities, and the capture of a secret prototype jet aircraft. The gameplay combines intense firefights, stealth missions, and tactical weapon usage. With its immersive atmosphere, historically accurate details, and an epic soundtrack composed by Michael Giacchino, Frontline became one of the most popular games in the series and received widespread acclaim for its cinematic quality and engaging storyline.
