Mom Is 17 Again

The 2024 Russian science fiction comedy directed by Anna Kurbatova. In 2005, seventeen-year-old Olya, unwilling to become a mother, consults a healer who suggests a solution—blow out a candle. Unexpectedly, Olya is transported to 2024 and finds herself in the body of adult Olga Vasilievna Glagolina (Svetlana Khodchenkova), a school principal and mother of teenager Ivan (Oleg Savostyuk), whom she initially doesn't recognize. Retaining her youthful consciousness, Olga faces the challenges of modern life, including her son's problems, the intrigues of deputy principal Zagnobina (Elena Muravyova), and her own attempts to understand how to return to her time. At school, she meets her former classmate Lastochkin (Konstantin Kryukov), now the school psychologist, and a mutual attraction develops. Trying to navigate this new reality, Olga spends more time with her son, discovering his world and confronting her past mistakes. The film explores themes of family values, responsibility, and making decisions that impact the future.
