The final installment in the trilogy that began with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, featuring the largest roster in the series—over 60 fighters, including every character from previous games. The story revolves around a prophecy foretelling the ultimate battle among warriors, leading to the end of all realms, with the antagonist Blaze at the center of the conflict. The game introduced an updated combat system with the ability to create custom Fatalities (Kreate-A-Fatality) and a character customization mode where players could modify appearance and fighting style. In addition to traditional fighting, the game features an extensive adventure mode, "Konquest," following the journey of a new character, Taven, who must prevent the impending catastrophe. Another addition is "Motor Kombat," a kart-racing mini-game featuring Mortal Kombat characters. Mortal Kombat: Armageddon received positive reviews for its vast content and character roster, though some elements, such as the simplified Fatality system, were criticized compared to previous entries.
