Need for Speed: The Run

An arcade racing game from the Need for Speed series, developed by EA Black Box and known for its cinematic storyline. Unlike previous entries, Need for Speed: The Run puts players in the middle of an illegal cross-country race from San Francisco to New York. The protagonist, Jack Rourke, is forced to compete in the race to escape the mafia and clear his debts. Gameplay features high-speed races, intense police chases, and occasional QTE-driven cinematic sequences where Jack must escape dangerous situations. The game offers over 200 kilometers of roads, spanning cities, deserts, mountain passes, and frozen highways, alongside licensed vehicles that can be upgraded. Utilizing the Frostbite 2 engine, Need for Speed: The Run delivers realistic graphics and destructible environments. The game was released on Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, and Nintendo 3DS.
