O Clone

A Brazilian TV series written by Glória Perez. The story begins in the early 1980s, taking viewers to two contrasting worlds: the wealthy neighborhoods of Rio de Janeiro and the traditional Moroccan society. At its heart is the love story between a young Brazilian man, Lucas (Murilo Benício), and a Muslim woman, Jade (Giovanna Antonelli), who face cultural and religious barriers. After the tragic death of Lucas' twin brother, a brilliant scientist, Albieri (Juca de Oliveira), secretly creates his clone, setting off a complex drama about science, fate, and identity. Twenty years later, the characters’ lives intertwine once again, revealing the consequences of their past choices. The series explores themes of cloning, drug addiction, family traditions, and love overcoming prejudice.
