A Russian drama TV series set in the 1990s, a time of drastic change in Russia. The story follows 14-year-old Sanka Ryabinin (Egor Gubarev), a teenager growing up in a provincial town amidst a rapidly shifting world. Together with his friends, he explores a reality filled with new opportunities and dangers: gang conflicts, emerging businesses, video salons, and the influence of Western culture. His family also struggles with the transition—his father (Sergey Stepin) tries to adapt to the new way of life, while his mother (Ekaterina Steblina) strives to keep their home warm and stable. Alongside friendship, first love, and teenage turmoil, Sanka becomes entangled in criminal affairs involving the local mafia. The series is rich in the nostalgic atmosphere of the '90s, featuring period music, iconic items such as chewing gum, VHS tapes, and the first gaming consoles.
