The Boy's Word: Blood on the Asphalt

A Russian drama series from 2023. The plot centers on 14-year-old Andrey, a boy from an intellectual family who studies at a music school and lives with his mother and younger sister. Facing pressure from street teenagers, Andrey decides to befriend them to protect himself. One of his new friends, 14-year-old Marat, becomes his guide into the complex world of the streets. The series has been acclaimed for its realistic portrayal of teenage life in late 1980s Russia and was awarded the "White Elephant" prize for "Best Series."
