A 2006 American action film directed by Simon Fellows. Commander Sam Keenan (Jean-Claude Van Damme), a seasoned U.S. Navy officer, is appointed as the new security attaché at the U.S. Embassy in the Eastern European country of Moldova. Upon arrival, Keenan discovers that the nation is engulfed in a civil war. At the embassy, he meets Ambassador George Norland (Colin Stinton), who designates Keenan as his deputy, challenging the traditional diplomatic hierarchy and causing internal disputes. The U.S. has recently supported the establishment of a new Moldovan government led by President Yuri Amirev (Serban Celea), who aims to guide the country towards democracy. However, under the command of communist leader Anton Tavarov (Velibor Topić), insurgents incite riots at the presidential palace, threatening the nation's fragile stability. These insurgents are loyal to former brutal dictator Alexei Kirilov (Costel Lupea). When palace guards open fire on the insurgents without Amirev's authorization, the situation escalates, leading to the storming of the palace and demands for the president's resignation. Keenan volunteers to escort Amirev to the embassy, but they are ambushed en route. Barely making it back, they find the embassy under siege by Tavarov and his forces, who are determined to capture Amirev by any means necessary. The crisis deepens with the death of Ambassador Norland from a rocket attack, leaving Keenan in charge of the defense. With limited resources — only 15 Marines, CIA bureaucrat Frank Gaines (William Tapley), scant ammunition, and his own martial arts skills — Keenan must protect the embassy, prevent Amirev's capture, and strive to stabilize the country's volatile situation.
