The 1981 American drama film directed by Harold Becker, with a screenplay by Robert Mark Kamen, James Lineberger, and Darryl Ponicsan, is based on Devery Freeman's novel "Father Sky." The story centers on a group of cadets at Bunker Hill Military Academy who, upon learning of plans to close their school and sell the property to developers, decide to take control of the institution to save it.
