Brotherhood of Justice

An American made-for-TV crime thriller from 1986, directed by Charles Braverman. The film is based on true events and tells the story of a group of high school students from an affluent California suburb who form a secret vigilante group known as the "Brotherhood of Justice." Their initial goal is to combat crime in their school, targeting drug dealers and bullies. The main character, Derek (Keanu Reeves), is a respected and charismatic student who is drawn into the group under the influence of his friend Victor (Kino Ortega). At first, their actions seem justified, but as time passes, the Brotherhood's methods become increasingly violent and lawless. The once well-intentioned mission spirals out of control, leading to moral dilemmas and internal conflicts within the group. Derek, realizing the organization has turned into a gang of vigilantes, struggles with his conscience and attempts to distance himself, but tensions escalate as Victor becomes more radical and the police begin investigating their activities. The film also stars Lori Loughlin as Derek's girlfriend, along with Courtney Thorne-Smith, Don Michael Paul, and Joe Spano. "Brotherhood of Justice" explores themes of justice, morality, violence, and the fine line between heroism and criminality. The film was produced for television and premiered on ABC in May 1986.
