The Hobbit, or There and Back Again

A fantasy novel published in 1937, serving as a prelude to "The Lord of the Rings" and laying the foundation for the world of Middle-earth. The story follows Bilbo Baggins, a humble hobbit who cherishes the comfort of his home in the Shire and has no interest in adventures.
