The Reader

A 2008 American-German romantic drama film directed by Stephen Daldry, based on the novel of the same name by Bernhard Schlink. The story begins in post-war Germany, where 15-year-old Michael Berg (David Kross) falls ill and is helped by Hanna Schmitz (Kate Winslet), an older woman.
