The Tourist​

A 2010 American romantic thriller directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck, "The Tourist" is a remake of the 2005 French film "Anthony Zimmer." The story follows Frank Tupelo (Johnny Depp), a mild-mannered math teacher from Wisconsin, who meets the enigmatic British woman Elise Clifton-Ward (Angelina Jolie) on a train to Venice. Elise, under surveillance by both the police and a gangster named Reginald Shaw, uses Frank to mislead those pursuing her former lover, Alexander Pearce, a fugitive wanted for embezzlement and tax evasion. Their encounter leads to a series of dangerous escapades in Venice, involving chases, deception, and revelations. The film blends romance, comedy, and espionage thriller elements, set against the picturesque backdrop of Venice.
