Tokyo Vice

A crime drama TV series based on the memoirs of American journalist Jake Adelstein. The story follows a young American, Jake Adelstein (Ansel Elgort), who moves to Japan and becomes the first foreign reporter at a major Tokyo newspaper. As he begins investigating the activities of the Yakuza, he finds himself drawn into the dangerous world of organized crime, corruption, and unwritten street rules. His mentor, Detective Hiroto Katagiri (Ken Watanabe), is a seasoned officer who understands the inner workings of the criminal underworld. As Jake uncovers the truth, he faces threats, moral dilemmas, and the harsh reality of exposing secrets in a society where honor and duty hold immense weight.
