A 2011 American animated short film directed by Gary Rydstrom and produced by Pixar Animation Studios, "Toy Story Toons: Hawaiian Vacation" is the first installment in the Toy Story Toons series, taking place after the events of "Toy Story 3." The story follows Bonnie's toys as they prepare for a relaxing winter break while Bonnie goes on vacation to Hawaii. Ken (voiced by Michael Keaton) and Barbie (voiced by Jodi Benson), eager to join her, stow away in her backpack but are left behind. To cheer up the disappointed couple, Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), Rex (Wallace Shawn), Slinky Dog (Blake Clark), Hamm (John Ratzenberger), Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head (Don Rickles and Estelle Harris), Trixie (Kristen Schaal), Buttercup (Jeff Garlin), Mr. Pricklepants (Timothy Dalton), and others transform Bonnie's room into a Hawaiian paradise. They recreate the tropical experience with beach settings, surfing, and a sunset to fulfill Ken and Barbie's dream of sharing their first kiss on a Hawaiian beach. This six-minute film blends humor, warmth, and friendship, showcasing how the toys support each other and create joy even in unexpected situations. It premiered on June 24, 2011, alongside "Cars 2" and was later included in Pixar's home media releases.
