Vietcong 2

A tactical first-person shooter developed by Pterodon and Illusion Softworks, released in 2005 for Windows. The game is a sequel to Vietcong and focuses on the Vietnam War. The story takes place in the city of Hue during the Tet Offensive of 1968. The player experiences two campaigns: one as Douglas Sheppard, an officer of the 101st Airborne Division, and the other as Le Duy Thanh, a Vietcong soldier, offering perspectives from both sides of the conflict. The gameplay combines tactical shooting mechanics with cover-based combat, squad commands, and interaction with allies. The game features a variety of historically accurate weapons and vehicles, along with detailed environments that recreate the atmosphere of urban warfare. Vietcong 2 received mixed reviews for its realism, story, and multiplayer mode, but was criticized for technical issues and outdated graphics at launch.
