The 2005 American television action film is based on the popular series "Walker, Texas Ranger" (1993–2001). The movie follows Texas Ranger Captain Cordell Walker (Chuck Norris), who, along with Rangers Francis Gage (Judson Mills) and Rhett Harper (Andre Kristoff), becomes involved in a shootout during a bank robbery where the robbers take hostages. Harper kills two of the robbers, but the leader escapes. Meanwhile, thirteen-year-old Jeremy Hopkins (Jordan Garrett) accidentally comes into possession of a missile guidance system sought after by three North Korean operatives. The criminals murder Jeremy's father, Adam (Bruce Locke), a developer of the system, but Jeremy manages to escape. Rangers Gage and new recruit Kay Austin (Janine Turner) take on Jeremy's case, while Walker deals with Harper being accused of murdering a woman he left a bar with. Assistant District Attorney Alex Cahill (Sheree J. Wilson) handles the murder case with support from colleague Garrett Evans (Steven Williams). Jeremy seeks refuge at his friend Josh Withley's (Jonathan Beck) house, but the criminals locate him and attempt to retrieve the system. Eventually, Jeremy realizes the missile guidance system is their target and contacts his father's company's head for assistance. Meanwhile, a man previously arrested by Harper for child rape is found dead, with evidence pointing to Harper. Investigations reveal that the true culprit is Garrett Evans, who seeks revenge against Harper for his sister's suicide. In the climax, Walker and his team prevent the criminals from obtaining the guidance system, and Harper is exonerated in court. However, the film ends on a tense note as Alex is shot in the courthouse, leaving her fate uncertain.
