Winter's Tale

The 2014 American romantic fantasy film directed by Akiva Goldsman, based on the 1983 novel by Mark Helprin, unfolds in a mythical New York City of the early 20th century and the present day, intertwining elements of magical realism and eternal love. The protagonist, Peter Lake (Colin Farrell), is an orphaned master thief raised by the demonic gangster Pearly Soames (Russell Crowe).
