An American video game developed by Acclaim Studios Salt Lake City and published by Acclaim Entertainment in 1998 for PlayStation, Nintendo 64, and Game Boy, WWF War Zone is one of the first fully 3D wrestling simulators licensed by World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Players can choose from a large roster of WWF superstars, including Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, Bret Hart, and others, as well as create their own wrestler. The gameplay is focused on a combo-based fighting system, requiring precise button combinations to execute moves. In addition to standard matches, the game features a "Career Mode", where players climb the ranks of the WWF, and "Multiplayer Battles", allowing for competitive play with friends. WWF War Zone was groundbreaking for its 3D graphics, fully voiced commentary, and authentic WWF atmosphere, making it one of the most popular wrestling games of the late '90s.
