Zeitgeist: The Movie​

The 2007 documentary film, created by American independent filmmaker Peter Joseph, explores various conspiracy theories and offers alternative perspectives on religion, the events of September 11, and the U.S. financial system. The film is divided into three parts. The first part claims that the Christian religion is borrowed from other religions, and that the figure of Jesus Christ is a combination of astronomical and astrological myths shaped by political forces. The second part suggests that the September 11 attacks were either orchestrated or allowed by the U.S. government to create mass fear and justify the War on Terror. The third part asserts that the Federal Reserve System is controlled by a small group of international bankers aiming to create a single world government, using wars to increase their profits. The film was released online on June 18, 2007, and quickly garnered millions of views on platforms such as Google Video, YouTube, and Vimeo.​
